- Claims of above $250,000 are generally dealt with by the High Court unless the parties agree to have the claim dealt with in the District Court.
- Civil Litigation cases (except for motor vehicle accidents or leases over 2 years) involving certain categories, such as claims up to a maximum of $10,000 (or up to $20,000 where both parties agree in writing) can be brought to a Small Claims Tribunal.
